Bachelor of Theology Upgrade Program (B.Th. Upgrade)
Duration: 2 years
Qualification reqd: Bachelor of Theology
The B.Th. (Upgrade Program) is a two-year postgraduate program offered to students who have successfully completed a Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.) degree and desire to pursue advanced theological education. The program is designed to further equip Christian leaders to meet the modern challenges of ministry and is academically equivalent to the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree.
The program consists of 20 core subjects offered over four semesters and is structured to build upon the theological and ministerial foundation acquired in the B.Th. program. Students receive advanced training in Biblical Studies, Theology, Mission and Evangelism, Practical Ministry, Church History, and Christian Leadership.
The B.Th. (Upgrade Program) requires the successful completion of all 20 core courses together with a Thesis or Ministry Practicum, totaling 65 credit hours. The thesis or practicum component enables students to engage in scholarly research or supervised ministry experience, integrating academic learning with practical ministry application.
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will possess the advanced theological knowledge, ministerial competence, and leadership skills expected of a Master of Divinity-level qualification, preparing them for effective service in the Church and society.
